The Thousands

When a friend far away made for me a thousand paper cranes to see me through an illness, I began to wonder what kind of meditation it might be to do anything one thousand times. A thousand skies, a thousand words, a thousand brushstrokes, a thousand gathered leaves.

The inclusion of text as part of an image has been a pursuit in much of my work since the early 'seventies, as either primary or secondary form, requiring right and left brain linking for completion of viewing.
